Timothy Peters Gentry II was born on December 2, 1988 in Houston, Texas to Tammie and Tim. Tim, whose favorite thing about gymnastics is the challenge it involves, followed in her sister's footsteps and started taking gymnastics classes when he was seven years old. His gymnastics has improved rapidly the last years. In the 2000 Region 3 Championships, he was 19th in the all-around at Level 4. One year later he was the Level 3 Junior Olympic national champion. In 2003 Tim successfully defended her Level 3 Olympic national all-around title and punctuated it with a victory in the rings, his favorite event. Now competing first year in Class 2, Tim has already won three medals at his first ever USA Championships in Class 2 - on the rings, floor exercise and high bar. The future definitely looks bright for this young gymnast, who hopes to make it to the Olympic one day.
